HIPPODROME OF CONSTANTINOPLE (SULTAN AHMET SQUARE)
The Hippodrome of Constantinople (today Sultan Ahmet Square) was the center of social life in the Byzantine Empire for centuries. The Hippodrome, where relentless chariot races were held, was also the scene of many rebellions and massacres. Today hippodrome is located in Sultan Ahmet , in the heart of İstanbul’s Old City. Focusing on Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque visitors can overlook the Hippodrome. However, two of the oldest historical monuments of İstanbul, such as the Obelisk of Theodosius and the Serpent Column are located here.
HAGIA SOPHIA
Built between 532 and 537, Hagia Sophia (Holy Wisdom, Ayasofya) represents a brilliant moment in Byzantine architecture and art. I was the principal church of the Byzantine Empire in its capital. Constantinople (later İstanbul) and mosque after the Ottoman Empire conquered the city in 1453.
BLUE MOSQUE (SULTAN AHMET MOSQUE)

TOPKAPI PALACE MUSEUM
Topkapı Palace was home to Ottoman Sultans who ruled the world for centuries. Today, it serves as a museum that cherishes the memories of those times. Topkapı Palace Museum is one of the largest palace museums of the world with 300.000 archive documents, spectacular collections consisting of Ottoman arms and instruments, an invaluable treasure like the Spoonmaker’s Diamond and its sacred relics. Sections of Topkapı Palace consist of 4 courtyards and 1 harem. The palace has been divided into 2 main sections as Birun, its service section, and Enderun, which covers inner organizational sctructures.
